Iranian MP hopes for securing Iran’s legitimate demands for JCPOA through EU’s solutions

Underscoring the US abrogation of the Iran nuclear deal, officially known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) has proved to be untrustworthy, Iranian senior law maker voiced hope that practical solutions of the European Union result in securing Iran’s benefits and legitimate demands.

Presidents of France-Iran Parliamentary Friendship Group Senator Philippe Bonnecarrère as well as Mrs. Delphine O, a Member of French National Assembly met the Chairman of Iran-France Parliamentary Friendship Group Dr. Kazem Jalali in Tehran on Sunday, 21 Oct. 2018.
Pointing to the old-age friendly relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and France, Iranian MP reiterated that bilateral meetings and dialogues can prepare a good way for further enhancement of their all-out ties.
Highlighting France is an effective country (among the six countries that inked a landmark nuclear agreement with Iran in Vienna in 2015), Dr. Jalali added that Iran pursues long-term goals in its bilateral relations with France. He further believed that we can strengthen our cooperation in all political, economic and cultural fields.
Reminding Iran hails “good start” to talk with the Europe aimed at salvaging the nuke-related agreement as the US re-imposes more sanctions against our country, the Iranian Parliamentary Official expressed his dissatisfaction with the no further steps have been taken by the Europeans so far to counter the US unilateralism over the nuclear deal in a view to secure Iran’s economic interests.
Pointing to the current talks between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Europe on the implementation of JCPOA as well as the EU’s promised mechanisms to ensure Iran’s economic benefits from the nuclear deal after the US’s pull out of the multi-lateral deal, he stated that Europeans’ political support for the continuation of the JCPOA is explicit and conclusive.
Voicing hope that European’s true will as well as its practical solutions can help Iran gaining its legitimate rights as being stipulated in the JCPOA, Head of the Islamic Parliament Research Center (IPRC) noted that the implementation of the promised financial channel can be an effective step too.
Hailing to strengthen parliamentary bilateral cooperation between France and the Islamic Republic of Iran, the President of France-Iran Parliamentary Friendship group Mrs. Delphine O, for his part, expressed the satisfaction over her visit to Tehran.
Referring to the European efforts especially France to keep alive the nuclear agreement, a Member of French National Assembly described the SPV (Special-Purpose Vehicle) as a financial mechanism which has been planned by the EU to help Iranians benefitting from the nuke-related agreement.
Also (in the meeting), French Senator Philippe Bonnecarrère who heads the France-Iran Parliamentary Friendship Group (in the French Senate) underlined that France, as it has been showed during nuclear negotiations, has an independent foreign policy from the United States as well as European decisions are not made under the influence of the US policies.
