An Iranian parliamentary delegation left Tehran for Brussels on Tuesday to meet European Parliament officials.
The Iranian delegation is headed by Kazem Jalali, Chairman of Iran-EU Relations and Chief of the Islamic Parliament Research Center.
The trip has been taken in the form of mutual parliamentary visits between Iran and the European Parliament.
The visit is a good opportunity to exchange views on bilateral relations and international issues. This visit can also pave necessary grounds for the two sides to discuss removal of obstacles hindering betterment of ties.
Since the start of the current Iranian administration, the European Parliament has expressed interest for expansion of relations with the Islamic Parliament of Iran and to this end, some EU delegations visited Iran.
