IPRC's Joint Meeting with Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology

A joint meeting was held between the Islamic Parliament Research Center (IPRC) and Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology to discuss organizing a joint working group.

Vice-President for Science and Technology Dr. Sorena Sattari met as well as held talks with Head of the Islamic Parliament Research Center Dr. Alireza Zakani here on Tuesday, 25 Aug. 2020.
Pointing to an enormous role of Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology as a valuable scientific treasure in supporting (us) to reach the ultimate goal, Iranian senior law-maker reiterated that we are seeking to use elite research network as well as society for science and religion.
Highlighting scientific independence of our own elites and researchers, Iranian MP from Qom Constituency added that the parliament should hold supreme legislative power through its intellectual will.
He further stated that a joint working group should be set up to expand their collabrations in a bid to promote their capabilities.
Referring to build an eco-system in order to develop knowledge-based economy in recent years, Vice-President for Science and Technology Dr. Sorena Sattari, for his part, expressed that currently, there are over 6000 Iranian Startups.
He further stated that Iran has officially 46 Science and Technology Parks (STP) which involve 200 firms as well as 6000 staff so that they themselves can earned over 110000 billion  Rials (last year).
Considering high growth of artificial intelligence as well as Fintech (financial technology), he finally highlighted that fortunately, Iran could have been ranked first in the region in the field of biotechnology through remarkable scientific progress.
