The Survey of Coronavirus Production, Purchase, Accessibility and Challenges in Iran

The report called "The Survey of Coronavirus Production, Purchase, Accessibility and Challenges in Iran" was published by the Political Studies Office of the Islamic Parliament Research Center (IPRC) to investigate different phases of COVID-19 vaccines development as well as serious challenges facing it in our country.

The COVID-19 recession, also known as the coronavirus recession, is a severe global economic crisis which has caused a recession in some nations.
The COVID-19 outbreak in 2019 affects all segments of the population and is particularly detrimental to members of those social groups in the most vulnerable situations, continues to affect populations, including people living in poverty situations. Due to the lack of effective antiviral drugs against COVID-19, the coronavirus vaccine production can be taken into consideration as a therapeutic solution to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Three phases is required to make an accessible COVID-19 vaccine: phase (1): safety trials (2): expanded trials (3): efficacy trials. Emergency approval of Covid-19 Vaccine has been only made.
According to the report, there are four main models for the development of COVID-19 vaccine throughout the world as follows below:
Coronavirus Vaccine development based on the whole virus, SARS-COV based on full-length S protein, viral vector-based vaccines and finally, DNA/RNA (Nucleic Acid)-based vaccines. COVID-19 vaccine had no side effects both on the whole virus and the spike protein-based. The trials showed no serious safety concerns about side effects on the third models. But the forth method is technologically more modern than the others as well as it may had unknown effects. Therefore, there is a high risk for this type of coronavirus vaccine. For instance, Thalidomide, the drug which has been prescribed by many physicians. Thalidomide offers a tragic example of the need for greater pharmaceutical regulation to prevent the use of harmful drugs and to adequately communicate the risks of medications. The drug has been prescribed to many pregnant women in order to relieve pregnancy nausea. It was later found that thalidomide caused irreversible damages to the fetus and thousands of children were born with severe congenital malformations.
