Head of the Islamic Parliament Research Center hailed the expansion of bilateral co-operation between the Islamic Parliament of Iran and National Assembly of the Republic of Mozambique.
Visiting parliamentary delegation of Mozambique, led by Mohammad Yasin, Deputy of the National Assembly of the Republic of Mozambique who was invited by the Secretariat of Parliamentary Union of Islamic Countries (PUIC) met Dr. K. Jalali, Head of the Islamic Parliament Research Center (IPRC) on Tuesday, 27 October 2015.
Referring to the leading role of these two parliaments particularly in the field of legislation as well as parliamentary control and oversight, Dr. Jalali reiterated that the promotion of parliamentary ties between Mozambique and our country will pave the way for further strengthening co-operation in different aspects.
A senior lawmaker expressed the eagerness of the Islamic Parliament Research Center (IPRC) to transfer all research-related experiences to the Parliament of Mozambique in major areas of codification and parliamentary surveillance.
With reference to the membership of Islamic Republic of Iran and Mozambique at the Parliamentary Union of Islamic Countries (PUIC), he underlined its impressive role as an inter-parliamentary body in promotion of parliamentary ties among Islamic countries as well as providing good opportunities for further bilateral dialogues and at last, removing major obstacles and challenges facing the Islamic world.
Mohammad Yasin, deputy of the National Assembly of the Republic of Mozambique, for his part pointed to the high position of Islamic republic of Iran in the region and the PUIC. Also, he expressed his satisfaction over the expansion of bilateral relations between these two parliaments.
Referring to the inevitable importance of strengthening economic and commercial relations between parliaments of these two countries, he furthermore stated that Mozambique like Islamic Republic of Iran is blessed with rich natural resources such as oil and gas and with respect to the Iranian long historical in enjoying these reserves, we ask for using Iran’s valuable experiences in oil and gas exploration, extraction and exploitation as well as allocation of these revenues in annual budget.
